Adding significant value to the 4th AGS symposium registration, we are pleased to provide a complimentary 2022 membership of the newly formed Australian Glycoscience Society (AGS) to all symposium delegates.
The Australian Glycoscience Society (AGS), recently formed from the initial Glyco@Oz network, aims to:
- Raise the profile of the glycosciences in Australia and internationally
- Diversify and strengthen the glycosciences within Australia by facilitating connections between individuals and other associations, within Australia and internationally
- Advance the glycosciences through outreach and exchange across all fields relevant to the science of sugars
- Advance education by fostering the talents of young glycoscientists
The Society will also communicate news, events, meetings, job openings, educational activities, research findings and other information of broad interest from all areas of glycoscience, within and outside Australia, and will act as the Australian connection point to other international glycoscience bodies (e.g. International Glycoconjugate Organization (IGO), Society for Glycobiology (SfG) etc.
The complimentary 2022 membership WILL NOT automatically renew in 2023. For 2023 renewals, there is an opportunity to renew when registering for the symposium. Alternatively if you choose not to renew when registering, we will contact members directly at the end of the year or you can renew anytime online via https://ozglyco.org/. One of the benefits of an AGS membership will be that in future Australasian Glycoscience Symposium meetings held in Australia members will receive a reduced registration rate as well as enjoying the benefits of being a Society member as outlined above. By signing up as an AGS member, you grant the events organiser (KAM Events) permission to communicate your relevant contact and registration details to the AGS for the process of handling the membership and registration process.
